Situated in the sleepy seaside village Palhais-Ribamar near the Ericeira World Surf Reserve, Omassim Guesthouse is an oasis of relaxation with a homely feel.
Dear guests, friends and family.
We hope everyone is well, safe, and calm during this moment of some concern.
We feel like it is important that we have a word about what is going on globally, showing that we are aware of the situation and are doing as requested by the government: Stay home!
We have been following the news, the OMS statements, and recently we have received a request from the President of the City Council of Mafra (where we belong); this request was for all the touristic places, hostels, Hotels, Guesthouses, etc, to close down voluntarily to avoid this issue to be spread even further and obviously to put first our safety and health, and others.
Everything we do before a pandemic will seem alarmist. Everything we do after will seem inadequate” – “Michael Leavitt”
With this and with sadness we announce that we will no longer be reopening the guesthouse on the 28th March as we have decided to lead as an example.
We understand this will cause some inconvenience however we believe this is the best solution for all of us and we should act NOW. For everyone booked already with us for March / April – please get in touch and we sort out together how to deal with the situation.
We are also extending our pre-reservation period so that all our guests can decide with time and certainty to book flights and our packages – in hope this storm will calm down and we will come out the other end in good health, stronger and wiser.
We thank you all for your comprehension and that all our actions reflect on a good behavior so that this global concern can end sooner and with less damage possible.
We will still be here for any additional queries you might have in regards to this at firstname.lastname@example.org – we will reply within 24 hours.
Wishing you all to be safe and sound and hoping to see you all very soon! ❤
“And the people stayed home. And read books, and listened, and rested, and exercised, and made art, and played games, and learned new ways of being, and were still. And listened more deeply. Some meditated, some prayed, some danced. Some met their shadows. And the people began to think differently.
“And the people healed. And, in the absence of people living in ignorant, dangerous, mindless, and heartless ways, the earth began to heal.
“And when the danger passed, and the people joined together again, they grieved their losses, and made new choices, and dreamed new images, and created new ways to live and heal the earth fully, as they had been healed.”
