Hygiene measures on site at Omassim Guesthouse
In April / May 2020, we participated in online courses to learn how to safely manage the guesthouse. We uphold the appropriate restrictions and measures to keep Omassim Guesthouse as safe and clean as possible.
We have received the badge: CLEAN & SAFE, recognised by Tourism Portugal.
The house is aired extensively every day and surfaces are disinfected (tabletops, door handles, light switches, bathrooms).
All bed linen and towels are washed with our certified Laundry Service (Eco-Lavandaria), also recognised CLEAN & SAFE from Tourism Portugal.
Staff at Omassim Guesthouse are trained and sensitised to the importance of special hygiene during food preparation.
Each guest is issued with yoga kit, to be kept on site: a yoga mat, bolster, belt, blocks, blanket. These items stay with the guest for a week, then are disinfected and returned.
If you wish to take part in surfing lessons, the surfing school we partner with will take care of disinfecting and cleaning the wetsuits and booties after each use. You are also welcome to bring your own wetsuit which can also be cleaned/disinfected by the school.
Housing Setup
There are no more restrictions in the rooms. We again accept a maximum of 19 people in the yoga room.
This still ensures that there is enough space in the Yoga Shala, living room, dining room and outdoor communal areas. We are a family-like guesthouse and enjoy sharing the space to eat, drink, work and chill out.
Guest isolation room
Should a guest develop symptoms of Covid-19, there is a designated isolation room available for quarantine purposes.
Booking your holiday
To ensure that nothing stands in the way of your stay at Omassim guesthouse, we have adapted our booking and payment conditions to the current situation:
– As usual, you can confirm your booking by paying a deposit of 80 Euro / one person or 120 Euro / 2 people. This is fully refundable up to 60 days before departure. The remaining amount must be paid on the day of arrival.
– If you need to cancel your booking due to a travel warning, Covid_19 caused flight cancellation or you are infected with Covid-19, you can rebook for a later date free of charge – subject to availability. We will place your paid deposit on HOLD until you are able to travel. This deposit is also transferable to another person in case you will be unable to fulfil your booking.
If you have any other questions, suggestions, or concerns, please feel free to call us or send us an email at any time. We wish for a careful and mindful approach towards the current situation and look forward to spending a wonderful time with you.
